Shelter-In-Place
Used for fast-moving plumes or brief exposures. Close all windows. Shut off HVAC to stop drawing external air. Tape gaps under doors. Retreat to an interior room above ground level.
Immediate Evacuation
Used for expanding blast radii, long-duration leaks, or heavy ground-hugging gases. Flee perpendicular to the wind. Roll up car windows and disable vehicle A/C air-intake during transit.
